MFA is seeking to add a temporary Coordinator to support the Tax Team from August 19th through October 15th. This role requires an experienced professional who can support the team’s efforts in collaboration with our tax professionals. This position requires strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills, attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and shift focus quickly.



  • Process and assemble a variety of tax return products, monitor due date requirements, and assist with other requests specific to supporting the Firm’s Tax Practice
  • Willingness to learn complex tax return structure, filing requirements, and take on a leadership role relating to industry-specific software requirements
  • Communicate with both internal and external customers with confidence and ease.
  • Coordinate with software vendors on product enhancement, upgrades, Firm requests, and subsequent in-house training requirements
  • Participate in workflow facilitation and management, including use of Caseware and relevant web-based software systems needed to support various practice areas throughout the Firm
  • Participate in the design and evolution of innovative processes and procedures to streamline and optimize efficiency in a forward-thinking business environment
  • Maintain ownership of a role within the Operations Center supporting the Firm’s operational activities
  • Assist with telephones, scheduling and Meet & Greet coverage

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Two to three (2-3) years’ experience processing and assembling tax returns
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and database system skills are necessary to complete both day-to-day duties as well as long-term projects
  • Experience utilizing XCM and CCH Axcess to process and assemble a variety of tax return products
  • Familiarity with client portals and SafeSend Returns a plus
  • Ability to multitask with ease and professionalism
  • Knowledge of office equipment, as well as business English usage (spelling, grammar and punctuation)
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule to support critical customer commitments as needed

  • Hours: Full-Time/Temporary. We are currently accepting applications for this position in a temporary full-time capacity from August 19th-October 15th. We can be somewhat flexible with the days and hours of this position, but strongly prefer hours 10-6:30p or 11-7:30p. For additional detail regarding hours, please inquire within.
