MFA is currently seeking an individual to fill a part-time or full-time, flexible position within our Firm’s Tax Practice. Primary responsibilities include preparation of small to mid-sized corporate and pass-through tax return workpapers and other relevant documentation.



  • Prepare pass-through and corporate tax return workpapers of small to mid-level complexity
  • Ensure proper documentation within tax return workpapers
  • Provide timely, high quality customer service that meets or exceeds expectations
  • Maintain the confidence of MFA’s customers and promote a consistent, positive image of the Firm
  • Assist with customer data review, including adjusting entries, investigating inconsistencies and suggesting alternatives
  • Respond to tax notices or provide assistance with tax authority inquiries
  • Stay current on new tax legislation

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • At least one (1+) year of prior experience in business, tax or general accounting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with US returns preferred, but not required
  • Experience with general accounting principles (GAAP) preferred, but not required
  • An aptitude for or experience with managing multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced and growing environment
  • Knowledge of tax software and tax research tools preferred, but not required
  • Strong organization, coordination, and follow-up skills as well as an attention to quality, thoroughness and accuracy
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to work independently
