Senior IT Auditor

The Senior IT Auditor resides within the Risk Advisory Practice and is responsible for the development, documentation and execution of IT audit related engagements, business development and acting as a technical liaison with customers.

  • Define, project manage, and deliver successful IT/Risk Advisory (SOX, SOC, Internal Audits, Cybersecurity) engagements
    1. Work with customers to achieve improved internal controls and business processes for their organization
    2. Work with engagement team and management to ensure smooth and successful deliverables on schedule
    3. Prepare and identify testing criteria for customers relating to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, Cybersecurity and SOC engagements
    4. Perform tests for customers relating to SOX, Cybersecurity and SOC engagements
    5. Perform additional IT, business process and security related assessments, as defined
    6. Travel to customer sites as needed
  • Represent and grow the Risk Advisory Practice as well as the broader MFA organization, representing the Risk Advisory Practice and providing technical sales support to help grow this service line through new accounts and expansion of existing relationships.
  • Act as a customer advisor who works closely with the customer and team to understand the customer’s vision of success, needs, and opportunities and then design, develop, and deliver a successful conclusion of the project according to customer and team goals.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Communications, Business Administration, Business Management, or Accounting
  • CISA, CRISC, CPA, CIA credential and or/candidate
  • At least three (3+) years of relevant experience focused on designing, implementing, and/or testing IT internal controls, performing IT and/or data security/privacy compliance assessments, and/or involved with an organization’s IT operations and support
  • Strong technical IT comprehension
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgement
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to write and communicate clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment; genuine interest in business and business development with a strong desire to make an impact on MFA’s customers
